Description

A square doily created using the pulled thread technique. An embroidered lace technique, pulled thread lace is created by embroidering under tension, pulling embroidery thread tight to create a lace effect. No threads are drawn out of the fabric. This doily measures 7.5 inches by 7.5 inches, and suffers from severe discoloration and staining. There is a small torn hole near the border on the left-side. The doily features a solid center surrounded by a repeating starburst pattern.
