Description

I purchased this lovely example of Irish Crochet in an antique store in Tampa, Florida in approximately 1984. It could also be described as a “bib” due to its shape. It was most likely meant to be attached to a colorful garment to emphasize the design. I kept it in a safe, dry place and admired it periodically. The motifs are large and thus, makes this a sample that inspires one to learn the technique. Finally in the early 90s, I got the courage to attach it to the shoulder seams of a “hot pink” dress. I proudly wore it to crochet conferences.
