A Note from the Contributor

Maria C. Vallejo: Shisha Mirror Embroidery Shisha mirror is an ancient form of embroidery. History tells us it has traveled through centuries from Iran to various Asian countries. Afghani women begin embroidering the wedding dress in pieces like this for their girls in their infancy. Shisha Mirror Embroidery -Backside The back of this shisha mirror on a red lightweight cotton lawn has its own merits. The backstitching must also look and be finished close to perfection. All women of the needle know this is the rule.
