Description
Ground Glass Found In Wool.; Entire Consignment Sent to Clarks- fork ls Affected. CLARKSFORK, Idaho, Jan. 21.—A consignment of yarn issued to the Red Cross here was found to contain ground glass. The glass was not detected until the hands of Miss Emma Wilson, a teacher, who was knitting a sweater for the soldiers, became irritated. Supposing it was due to the coarse texture of tile wool she kept at work until she saw a silver of glass fall from the yarn. An investigation was made and the whole consignment was found to contain minute particles of glass. The wool, together with un- finished garments, have been collected to be returned to Sandpoint headquarters.
