Description
Hazel was born in 1947 in the Highland Community near Dublin, Texas. Friends and family dropped by her parents’ home to see baby Hazel and bring gifts. Their names and the gifts they brought were carefully recorded in a baby book.
Mrs. Price brought a tatted cap for Hazel.
The tatted cap joined Hazel’s Crocheted Silk Dress (also in CKC’s Community Collection) on a doll saved from her childhood.
Hazel’s very poignant question was, “Will anyone care about these handmade things when I’m gone?”
