The Pink Elephant (maybe the problems are all in your head) is a hand crochet sculpture made in Emma Oliver's final year of her MFA program at Illinois State University. This piece was created for her final thesis show: "This is a Moment of Complete Vulnerability," and depicts both "the elephant in the room" and the idea of "pink elephants" combined. Oliver continues to create works about communication, desire, vulnerability, and boundary-setting in her professional practice.
