Mrs. Mary Cox, who is 92 and chipper as can be, made bandages for Civil War soldiers. Now she's knitting sweaters for British service women. She is one of a new group of knitters working for the American Women's Aid for British Service Women, 1428 Walnut st., at the Union Home for Old Ladies, 4801 Lancaster av. Under the direction of Mrs. Joseph E. Dunlap, president of the board of directors of the home, members of the home and members of the board will knit sleeveless scarfs for shipment overseas.
