Title

Knitting Mill at Rexleigh, NY

Description

This postcard features the Marble Knitting Mill along the Battenkill River near Rexleigh, NY. The Mill is unrealated to the Marble Knitting Mill in Brooklyn; the name comes from the fact that the mill cut Vermont marble until 1896 when it was repurposed. The postcard shows the mill itself, with the Battenkill behind it not visible. Two workers pose in front of the building. Railroad tracks are visible at the bottom of the image.
