Description

A large decorated wagon or parade float shows a painting of an alligator marked "Trust" and a man near the word "Knit" holding a shield marked "Ball-Band". On the back is a snake and a large stick marked "Ball-Band" and the caption "Can he swallow this one? Not as long as he can keep that stick in his mouth." A display of socks is seen in the background. The Ball-Band and Straight-Line Rubber Boots and Shoes of Mishawaka began as a manufacturerer of yarn and woolens. This display refers to the Anti-Trust and anti-monopoly laws of the time.
