Similar in design to 2023.MCV.09.063, 2023.MCV.09.068, and 2023.MCV.09.069,  this piano key cover employs a pulled thread embroidery technique to create geometric lace patterns. The rectangular cover features a two-layered pulled thread border. The inner border features an elaborate floral lace pattern and geometric corners, while the outer border is made up of a simpler diamond motif.

Maria C. Vallejo: Piano Key-Board Cover. We see pulled thread again. There was once a time when women did not get out of the house to work. Our work then was all cut out for us as we sat down to cut out the thread that has created beauty for the homes for centuries. Sitting down to patiently finish these pieces of art was meditative, relaxing, and refreshing. Was there time to perhaps a few notes on the piano before dinner? The cloth to cover the ivory will soon be finished.
